Overview

From a business perspective, one of the most powerful approaches to growth is to choose those things that keep or create as many options as possible. Given the uncertainties from market forces, evolving technologies, and real cost constraints, having agility to adapt and change is superior to locking into path(s) with few options.  Of course, amidst the sea of options, it is also important to have a clear path to get a foundation in place and leverage the benefits of the investment as quickly as possible to justify the investment of time and talent. Depending on the business, the more broadly the investment serves the greatest number of areas of the business the greater the return and the greater the perceived value of the strategic decision. Cellio was conceived and implemented with these types of options in mind – all to help an organization “where it is”.

The RIIoT Options at the RIIoT Time

Imagine the three following scenarios:

  1. An organization already has a number of sensors/systems deployed in the field but they all required different portals and credentials to access, no one has the time to try to log in every day to get the data and then try to integrate it into a unified view to figure out what is important versus what isn’t. The value of sensors/systems is far from being fully utilized or maximized.
  2. An organization is needing something simple and a relatively small scale to demonstrate that their idea to remote monitor/control equipment in the field will provide the kind of data, alerts, and analytics that will justify investing in a much larger enterprise deployment – but they need to get it done with limited upfront resources and need to guarantee success of the initial pilot effort. They know that with the initial results they will be able to assemble a compelling business case for the full investment.
  3. An organization has large corporate enterprise systems already in place, they have existing products in the market, but the products are not yet enabled as connected devices. They would like, with very limited risk, rapid market deployment, and end-to-end capabilities to migrate their products to increasingly offer higher value services and new revenue streams to the business.

With Cellio, all three of these scenarios (and more) are not only possible, but anticipated, by the Cellio ecosystem. Whether it is simply taking existing data streams from devices and assembling a unified view of the data, starting with a small pilot and knowing that the success will drive a need for rapid scale, or that a retrofit into existing products is needed quickly while the established systems are adapted for the new paradigm – all of these options exist in the Cellio platform.

Conclusion

The Cellio Wireless Network has been designed to be quick, affordable, and high quality. Cellio Wireless Transceivers allow the Cellio system and customers to quickly and easily expand existing systems with as many sensors and controllers as they like (with minimal incremental expense).  The data collected in the back-end data system can be easily and rapidly mapped and provided for view on PC’s, tablets, smartphones, etc. both via browser views as well as automatically generated native mobile app views. Sharing and modifying the dashboard views is quick and easy. All of this is available and in place today. There is a saying that you should “Inspect what you expect”.  With so much uncertainty about the future directions of technologies, wouldn’t you prefer to have a platform with as many options built in as possible?
